2011 Valentine's Day at WHPS

What an exciting day! Not only were the boys dressed in civvies but they had a special visitor!

Nicole Flint, Miss South Africa 2009, arrived for a surprise visit to wish the boys a special Valentine's day. She chatted to the boys about her reign as Miss South Africa and graciously handed out the music certificates to the boys.

The Grade 6 and 7 boys were pleasantly surprised to receive Valentine's Day cards from the girls at DSG, and they sent their own special messages and chocolates to our sister school.

Another special surprise was to find out that Mrs. Van taught Miss Flint when she was in Grade 7.

The Grade 7 boys also went to Jacaranda Haven to share the special day with the folks from the old age home. This annual event is always much appreciated by both the residents and staff at Jacaranda Haven.

It is also a wonderful opportunity to expose the boys to those who are less fortunate than themselves. It helps them realize the value that a few kind words and a bit of time can have for those who are not always surrounded by a loving family.
