Eco-Tour to Ezemvelo
WHPS Makes a Difference

by Brigitte Theunissen

The Grade 1-7 boys went to the Ezemvelo Nature Reserve to assist with eradicating invasive plants. It was a day filled with hill climbing, making new friends and assisting with the removal of invasive plants. The Grade 6 and 7 boys took very special care of the Grade 1 and 2 boys which formed part of their Leadership Programme.

Added to this we learnt about the importance of removing invasive plants and the impact these plants have on the eco-system in general.

They then enjoyed some free time to explore the reserve and eat their picnic lunches. Every single boy realized how they can 'make a difference'!
