Grade 7 Reading Buddy Day

The Grade 7 boys paired up with a Grade 1 buddy and read them a story at the start of the morning.

Each Grade 7 boy gave their reading buddy a bookmark as a gift to encourage them to read.

Some boys were so engrossed that they arrived late for their next lesson. Oliver in Grade 7 had a buddy who insisted on reading to him!

Nishan and his buddy chose a book that was made into a film and then the little Grade 1 chap spent the time explaining the ending to the movie!

Jano's reading buddy just loved looking at the pictures.

There was a lot of discussion about their favourite stories.

It was a wonderful opportunity for the two boys to get to know one another and for important relationships to blossom.
