Project Term 2010

by James Adam
(Pretoria)

Project Term was filled with many hard things to do but the first two projects which I have finished were a great learning experience which will help me in the future.

During Project Term all your normal subjects except maths, Afrikaans and English (for 1 hour a week) are put on hold as you strive to finish your projects before time is up.

The two hardest projects are the Powerpoint and Robotics of which I have only completed robotics (not looking forward to powerpoint.)

Apparently (I haven't done it yet)the best project is entrepreneurship because you get to make money and keep half of it as the rest goes to the school and a charity.

So all in all project term will help to prepare you for the future and maybe even help you to improve your marks.

Project Term

by David den Hartog
(WHPS)

Project term is a great experience for us and we learn how to cope with being very stressful and just carry on working and not to give up.

We have learnt that you have to start working from the beginning and to work consistently to finish the project or you ARE going to get stressed when you have to finish the project in a few minutes from the end of the day.

Robotics was quite hard but I managed to finish in the nick of time.

Next was the English and Computer project which was a lot of work to finish in two weeks cause you had to write it in rough and then you have to type it all out and then print it which was a mission because half the grade had to print at the same time then the printer broke.

Project term is fun and I hope that everyone who still has to do it will enjoy it.

Project Term 2010

Personally I think project term is a great learning experience for the learners at WHPS.

It teaches us time management as well as "out of the box thinking".

The most difficult project is robotics by some amount. While Robotics is the hardest of the lot, the three projects are also challenging.

The other projects include Powerpoint and Research, English and Computer and Entrepreneurship.

Project term has been frustrating, challenging but it has also been rewarding. With hard work comes good marks.

Project Term

For Group two we started our project term experience with a powerpoint presentation and a four minute long speech we had four choices.

It was challenging with 10 days of hard work and responsibility. We all worked hard to finish on time on the speech day. The teachers and most boys were surprised when we saw how prepared our friends were.

Next was Robotics a quite hard project but with hard work we made our robot finish the course. By scoring the goal, reciting our anthem of choice, picking up its trophy, doing a victory lap and doing a victory dance!

I think we all have done well whether we failed or got distinction we all learned valuable lessons for the future.
