Senior Prep Maths

Geometry is an integral Maths of the Senior Prep Maths Curriculum. It enhances the boys' ability to perceive shape and space – so vital in the development of Mathematical skills. The boys are exposed to practical aspects of Space and Shape together with the necessary theorems.

The boys are encouraged to describe and represent characteristics and relationships between two-dimensional shapes and three –dimensional objects in a variety of orientations and positions.

The Grade 5 boys had a great deal of fun creating their own tessellations using the Chinese Tangram. This focuses on the ability to transform shapes and create different images while understanding that the area of each new picture remains the same.
