The Untold Stories of Outward Bound
It all started on that Monday morning...
The Grade 6 group of 2009 were all extremely excited to go on their camp to Outward Bound Harrismith.
We arrived after a long 7 hour drive, to be greeted by the friendly faces of the camp instructors, which would be our only family for the following 5 days of severe physical tests.
The first being having to run away for a massive veld fire, and having to take refuge in a nearby resort, the second nearly being struck by a massive bolt of lightning, literally 10 metres away from where we were cooking, the third and final test was when we had to go canoeing and swimming in the freezing cold waters of the Sterkfontein dam, and before we were deemed fit to begin kayaking, we had to do a "float test",which includes u lying face first and face up.
Overall it was a nice camp but are u ready???....
