WHPS Tour to Grahamstown Festival 2011

The day had finally arrived!

After a year of planning, confirmations and discussions, the Grade 7 boys met at the airport on a cold early morning. They were excited but a little nervous as to what lay ahead.

The travelling was finally over and we arrived safely at the hostel where we would be staying. Matron Susan greeted us warmly with a mug of hot chocolate.

The boys were taken on an orientation walk through the streets of Grahamstown and into the Village Green. They were already keenly eying the things they wanted to buy.

This year's favourite purchases were 'Baby Milo hoodies' and 'Fox hoodies'. An all time favourite was the belts which included a lighter!

The week flew past with the boys seeing twelve shows in 4 days! There was a mixture of comedy, drama, music and dance. Each day the boys had a new favourite show. They laughed at the jokes till the early hours.

It is a tour where the boys are culturally enriched yet at the same time spend wonderful time with friends, sharing and making a lifetime of memories.

"Best tour of my life" said Brendon Booysen. This was indeed echoed by all the boys!
