The Grade Two boys were treated to a visit from a pilot. Mr Glenn Botha, one of our Grade Two dads. He spoke to the boys about the science of flight, as well as informing them just what it takes to become a pilot.
World Book Day: Some people like to read the biographies of the most influential people in history, like Martin Luther King or Mahatma Gandhi. Some people enjoy novels that send chills down their spines. Some prefer the classics, like “Lord of the Rings”.
The Whippets have had such fun celebrating Friendship Day. The week started off with a puppet show all about Valentine Bear. He was kind and caring and showed the boys and girls how to be a good friend, show concern for others and to be loving.
WHPS is committed to providing children with environmental education that helps them become the educated thought leaders of tomorrow. It also means supporting teachers and caregivers as they engage their children in outdoor studies and environmental issues.
The annual Grade 0 Clever Cat Picnic creates a lot of excitement every year. Dressed in their Clever Cat ears, and wearing their ‘I am a Clever Cat’ badges, our little Grade 0 boys enjoyed their Clever Cat picnic.
Character education at WHPS teaches the habits of thought and deed that help people live and work together as families, friends, neighbours, communities, and nations. Our boys spend much of their young lives in classrooms. This time in school is an opportunity to explain and reinforce the core values upon which character is formed.
