Character education at WHPS teaches the habits of thought and deed that help people live and work together as families, friends, neighbours, communities, and nations. Our boys spend much of their young lives in classrooms. This time in school is an opportunity to explain and reinforce the core values upon which character is formed.
Leadership - Grade 1 & 7 Bell Ringing Ceremony. At WHPS, Leadership plays an important role in the boys’ education and is encouraged across all the grades. It is a value-driven programme that is one of the skills identified as essential for producing 21st Century citizens.
WHPS is well known for its excellent schoolboys who obtain their Wisdom and their extraordinary Skills from inspiring teachers at our famous school. WHPSians have been highly Skilled and Wise for almost 100 years.

Real Life 4 Kids - The game is ‘hotting’ up with the much awaited auction which took place on Thursday, 18 and Friday 19 June 2020. The WHPS Grade 6 boys were both excited and nervous about how much money they were going to bid for their desired piece of land.

Over the past few weeks it has been wonderful to welcome more grades back on to the WHPS campus. It has been particularly enjoyable to see Herringer and Pops Fields full of boys involved in some sort of physical activity, albeit very different to the normal lessons they would have had.

How exciting it has been to have our boys back at school. It was so wonderful to see our JP boys walk through the WHPS gates last week and greet the teachers with great big smiles (under their masks).

It’s been an interesting couple of months at WHPS, going from a hustle and bustle, busy and happy school to a campus which was eerily quiet. Thankfully we have still managed to maintain some contact with the boys via Zoom lessons and clips and photos they have shared on Seesaw.
